Li Bai had been in the Caldari Navy for most of his life. He would have had it made, but he had blown his pension on some bad investments. After years pent up on capital ships jammed in tight with other young men with simple dreams and yearning for something big, he was now broke and life was hard. He had always tried to play it straight, but the moneylenders had him on his knees. That's why Li Bai was a miner now. A good one at that. He gently guided his giant industrial ship to certain areas of the galaxy where a guy can make a quick buck getting his hands dirty. When the cavernous mouth of his ship opened up on a jutting spur of precious asteroid metal he finally felt alive again. Once the node of lucrative mineral was spent and swallowed into the belly of his ship, Li Bai knew he'd be back on top one day again.
